Once again we are very fortunate to have been able to harvest a good supply of very delicious sweet and tender asparagus.We will be at both the Old Strathcona (in front of the concession) and Downtown (we have moved to the south end of the market) Farmers Markets. This is the first time since we started going to The Old Strathcona farmers Market that I will not personally be manning the booth. My son-in-law, Randy wii be there instead. I will be at our farm welcoming and touring guests for our first ever Asparagus Days event. Hope to see you here on our farm!!

On June 7 & 8 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM get in the Spear-it of spring by visiting our asparagus farm. You will be able to see our field that we pick every day, visit our newly planted plot, see the handling and chilling facilities and visit our farm store. We will be offering tastings of our delicious asparagus prepared at our farm by famous chefs from River Café or Infuse Catering.  Take exit 365 at the new south Innisfail overpass and go 10 km. west  on Cottonwood Road. This event is in conjuntion with Springtime Country Drive - a self guided driving route in our area where you may visit 10 other farms and attractions on June 7 & 8. I snapped this picture this morning of Joanie, Jackie & Lisa hard at work hand snapping perfect spears as one of our three "Asparabubggies" moves them slowly down the field. The middle person, Jackie is steering the picking asparabuggy with her feet using pedal steering. My husband, Doug has designed and built them for us.
